WHY PAY FOR A PROFESSIONAL VIDEO WHEN MY FRIENDS, PARENTS OR RELATIVES CAN TAPE MY GATHERING WITH A CAMCORDER?

Most consumer (and even low-end inexpensive "professional") video fails for several reasons:

a) Inadequate attention to sound, lack of research and coordination to learn the flow of the event
b) Use of only one camera, no use of a tripod or other support, and inadequate battery capacity
c) Lack of any professional editing equipment once all of the footage has been gathered
d) Having a guest work at a function means that they can't take part in all of the fun!!

I'VE NEVER HIRED A VIDEOGRAPHER BEFORE, HOW SHOULD I PACE AND SEQUENCE MY VIDEO?

We will help do all of that for you. Last year, Elite Entertainment had consulted hundreds of brides, grooms and organizations participating in and planning social functions. Since the video footage from no two functions is alike in sequence or format, there is a always great deal of room for creativity when organizing your final video. We have included a sample format of a Wedding Video for you to get some ideas from.

WILL THE VIDEOGRAPHER BE INTRUSIVE?

Not at all!! Today, video uses camcorders with on-camera lights, or no lights, so the so all that cabling is gone. In terms of lighting, some cameras are even more sensitive than the human eye. All of Elite's Video staff are well trained and are always extremely sensitive to the responses of the crowd. We always read our audience and knowing when the moment has arrived to get our subjects on tape. Of course, some people may not want to participate and we always respect their desire for privacy.

HOW CAN WE AVOID PUTTING GUESTS ON THE SPOT DURING INTERVIEWS AND BEST WISHES?

One way is to avoid performing the interviews at the tables. Generally speaking, people prefer not to have themselves recorded hile they are eating. We have individuals give their best wishes in a private setting, like the lobby or an open small banquet room

WHAT TYPES OF LIGHTING DOES ELITE YOU USE?

This varies depending on the time of day when we are shooting and the lighting in the venue. Regardless of the situation, we always make it a point to be aware of the circumstances under which we are recording and we always try to keep direct light away from the subjects as much as possible

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF A WEDDING VIDEO?

Normally 45 to 75 minutes fully edited

HOW MUCH VIDEO IS ACTUALLY RECORDED?

About 3-6 hours is actually recorded for documentary-style wedding video. Much is eliminated due to slow or uneventful moments, or redundant material. Clients working on tighter budgets can have 1-3/4 to 2 hours of footage recorded, but many moments won't be captured on the final video master

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE UNTIL I RECEIVE THE FINAL DRAFT OF MY VIDEO?

This depends on the video's complexity of the video and the number of edits which you have requested. If you are interested in incorporating footage from a theatrical film or your honeymoon into the final master, the amount of time spent in editing will be slightly higher. All final videos and duplicates are generated within 4 weeks of receipt and transfer from all sources.

WILL I BE ABLE TO PLAY THE FINAL VIDEO ON MY HOME VCR?

Yes!! We record in three high quality formats: Beta, HI8, and SVHS. After we have made your tape master, we transfer your Video over onto VHS, the most popular home Video format. We can also have your tapes made for other formats accepted in Europe and other foreign countries if necessary. For the friends or family who were unable to attend, 3 and 3000 copies of your master video can be labeled and shipped anywhere you would like.

WHAT EFFECTS THE PRICING OF AN ELITE VIDEO PACKAGE?

Length of the video master, amount of footage needed before, during and after the function and the total amount of editing time required following the function.
